Well Wimbeldon
is happening so it must be a damp June, which is probably
a blessing to the lads who have reported back for pre-season
training as Coach John Penny is introducing a new and welcomed
mentality to the training programme. All players are expected
to attend either the Wednesday or the Saturday (ideally
both!!) training session. The AGM passed off without incident and I am pleased to confirm that Howard Johnson was re-elected as President with Jon Doggett as Club Captain. I am sure I am not alone in wishing all elected officials a successful season. I have finally posted some pictures fo the Under 11's game against Wednesbury, click here. Have a read of the below. The easyfunding system is now working, thanks to the 13 people who have committed themselves to the Club - and I know that at least two of them are work colleagues! So far we have raised 44 quid by doing nothing different when buying in the internet. we even have our first referral "The Holy Name Football Club" have joined up, so we now get 20% of whatever they raise. Lets get more clubs and societies to joining via our referral link. Any questions just ask!! As many of you may know Handsworth RUFc has finally done away with the cess pit, one of John the Grounds least favourite jobs!, and introduced a pumping system into the main drainage. This was due to Ron Anderson's hard work and the support of both Derek Salter's Truck Services (midlands) Ltd and Biffaward. The press release is here.
